We enjoyed our recent Unique European Travel tour to “The Lakes of Lombardy”. Every detail was perfectly planned and all we had to do was relax and enjoy. Our lodging and the spell bounding views in Bellagio on Lake Como was one of the highlights. We loved our morning walk into town for cheese and warm bread, and the ferry ride to Villa Carlotta and walking the serene grounds of Villa Menzi-I have never seen such large hydrangeas. Some of our other favorites were the village of Stressa and the Borromean Islands in Lake Maggiore, Sirmione on Lake Garda and the vineyards, and the beautiful city of Milan with the magnificent Cathedral Duomo and other historical landmarks and shopping. The food at the suggested restaurants was pure “slow food” Italian and the transportation was flawless. We loved our guide-what a hoot! There was no way in our busy schedules we would have been able to put together the quaint restaurants and beautiful lodgings. We are looking forward to traveling again with UET maybe the “Capitals” tour next time.
