Austria, known as the hub of Central Europe, once was one of the greatest powers in history as part of Holy Roman Empire of the German Nation and later the capital of the Habsburg Empire. Austria is a country of beautiful rolling hills, high Alpine meadows, Heidi like villages and a few historic cities. The Capital Vienna is a spectacular place to visit showcasing stunning building architecture, magnificent attractions, landmarks, and shopping.
Day 1 (D)
Our partners, the Diamond staff, will greet you at Vienna Airport and bring you to the Diamond Golf Resort to check in for 7 Nights in a 5-Star Premium Diamond room.
While you enjoy welcome drinks and Austrian snacks your guide will explain the program for the upcoming week.
If you desire and time allows, you can play, dependent on availability, the Country Course (the second course at the resort), the Diamond Course, or if you are tired from your journey – relax at the beach club.
In the evening – you will be taken for a welcome dinner at the Laté Restaurant. Built in a 15thcentury Monastery cappella, Late has received numerous culinary awards and was voted the best restaurant in Lower Austria. You will enjoy dining surrounded by historic paintings and sculptures. (Included: 3 course meal and a drink).
Day 2 – (B)
Golfers: Today you will enjoy your “European Tour” experience while playing the “Diamond” course. You will be following in the footsteps of some of the greatest professional European players, such as Padraig Harrington and Miguel Jimenez who have won European tour tournaments here. After lunch, your guide will take you by private transfer to Vienna to meet with the non-golfers.
Non-golfers: After breakfast, your guide will accompany you to the Vienna city center via the local speed train. You will be escorted to Albertina Museum to see one of the largest and most important collections of Picasso paintings. After this visit, you will be taken to the Belvedere Museum to see the museum and a painting by Klimpt - “famous Kiss”, that became better known after being featured in the movie This Means War.
For lunch you will be given suggestions for lunch at nearby typical Austrian Restaurants and after lunch you will meet up with the golfers.
Golfers + Non-golfers: Together you will see and be told the history of St. Stephens Cathedral – an unbelievable Gothic architectural masterpiece.  After this visit you will have the balance of the afternoon and evening free to walk around the city center or to see other renowned historic monuments suggested by your guide. Your guide will give you suggestions for dinner on your own and then you will be left to explore and enjoy the city.
Later in the evening you will be picked up in front of the State Opera House– to return to your lodging.
Day 3  (B) 
Golfers: Fontana, a past venue for the European tour for seven years, was voted the best golf course in Austria in 2006 and 2009, and is an elite private country club with many spectacular holes, challenging bunkers and water hazards.
After golf your private transfer will take you to Baden city. You can choose to sightsee throughout the city, shop, or visit the world’s famous composer museum – Beethoven House.  If you prefer to visit the Spa, inform your guide and they will make the arrangements. For dinner you along with the non-golfers will be brought to a farmer’s restaurant in Baden to experience truly organic, privately produced and freshly made Austrian cuisine (dinner is not included)
Non-golfers: Baden city is known for its thermal healing Spas and after breakfast you will be taken there to enjoy various massaging jets, saunas, and healing waters with different minerals. If you do not wish to go to the Spa you can enjoy a stroll around Baden city, and visit the Beethoven House museum and Baden Park. After lunch you will join back up with the golfers to enjoy the balance of your afternoon. Following dinner you will be transferred back to your lodging.
Day 4 (B)
Salzburg, the birthplace of Mozart is a magical city in an alpine setting surrounded by lakes and villages and is known as the most beautiful city in Austria.
Golfers and Non-golfers: After an early breakfast you will leave the resort with your guide to take the speed train to Salzburg a two hour ride through the beautiful Austrian countryside. Upon arrival you will be joined by a local guide for a full 4 – hour private Sound of Music Tour. Aboard your coach you will see iconic film locations including Nonnberg Abbey, Schloss Leopoldskron and the Mirabell Gardens where Maria and the children famously sang 'Do-Re-Mi.' Then you will visit the wedding church at Mondsee and soak up the incredible landscape of the Salzkammergut region (tour is included).
After the tour you will have time to stroll around Salzburg and will be given suggestions where to go- (Mozart’s Home Museum, Hohensalzburg Fortress, etc.) and given suggestions on where to  have an early dinner (for example at our top choice - St Peter Stiftkeller). After dinner you will meet at the golden ball at 7pm to take the speed train back to your lodging at Fontana.
Day 5 (B)
Golfers: Today after breakfast you will be taken to the foothills of the Alps Mountains to play Golf Club Adamstal located in a wooded breathtaking Alpine valley, a challenging and spectacular course with holes named “Bear Ravine” and “Fairy tale meadow”. Locals call it “Golf’s Disney world” for its elevation drops, majestic fairy-tale like views and beautiful rock formations. At the half way station, you will be offered typical home-produced Austrian snacks and drinks. After golf­­­­­­­ you will be taken to join back up with the non-golfers to enjoy the balance of the day.
Non-golfers: You will be taken by private transfer to Vienna to see Schönbrunn Palace, a former Imperial summer residence one of the most important architectural, cultural, and historical monuments in the country. You will receive an audio guide that will help you to understand the history as you tour the Palace, Maze, Labyrinth in the gardens, and the Gloriette gardens. If you choose, at an additional cost, you can book a private guide for this 3+-hour tour.
After you re-join the golfers you will be offered the choice of attending various Vienna shows in the evening some suggestions would be – Current Musical events, the famous Vienna Opera House, Spanish Riding School (not included but tickets can be acquired in advance as you desire) and have dinner on your own, at a pre-arranged location, you will be met and taken back to your lodging for the night.
Day 6 (B)
Golfers: Today you are in for a treat when you are taken to the heart of the wine region to play Golf Club Schönborn built within the walled grounds of a 18th Century Castle (Palace) that now serves as the clubhouse.
The fairways are located in the middle of garden walkways and forests, reminiscent of the best of the UK parkland courses. After the round, you will be escorted by your guide to the Wachau Valley to join the non-golfers.
Non-Golfers: After breakfast you will be taken to Wachau Valley-A UNESCO world heritage center since 2000. This spectacular wine making region is magical with its steep terraced vineyards, quaint historical villages, castles and adorned churches.  You will have time to stroll around one of these villages and tour one of the best wine cellars in Europe-Domaine Wachau. This renowned winery with its steep terraces and old dry stone walls is famous for its Steinfeder, Federspiel, and Smargd wines. After your tour you will join back up with the golfers.
Golfers + non-golfers: Together you will meet in Durnstein on the Danube with its famous Church and blue and white steeple –(heaven), and yellow and grey Abbey-(earth) to have lunch (the location will be suggested) and then you will go to a private terrace on the hill with stunning views to enjoy privately produced wines. The Washau Valley is famous for its production of: white wine, fresh grape juice, Bailoni Apricot Schnaps (liquor) and fresh apricot juice. You will have free time to walk around this beautiful village with its  narrow, windy cobblestone streets, climb up the hill to see the Durnstein Castle ruins and spectacular views, or shop in the many local craft stores.
Day 7 (B,D)
Golfers: After breakfast your private transfer will take you to Ottenstein Golf Club located in the nearby Austrian hills. This course features idyllic natural creeks and ponds, dense forests, rolling fairways, flowering poppy fields and strategically placed bunkers. Ottenstein is famous for its Clubhouse restaurant voted the best Clubhouse restaurant 3 times in a row.
Non-Golfers: Today you are in for a special experience. After an early breakfast you will be escorted by your Austrian guide to take the short speed train ride to Vienna where you will meet with your expert Slovakian guide, take a short bus ride to Bratislava, and explore the Capital city’s top attractions including Old town, Michael’s Gate, Bratislava Castle and Grassalkovich Palace.
After this tour you will be free for lunch and have time to wander the old town on your own before returning to the resort to join up with the golfers.
Non-golfers + golfers: In the evening you will be taken to the local Heurigen Winery and restaurant area featuring 50 privately owned properties built into a mountain. “Heurigen” is the name for local Austrian farm restaurants that serve great food and local wine in a comfortable down home setting. These restaurants are a treasure and tradition and an integral part of Austrian culture. Here you will be able to try different wines, organic family produced cheese, meats and bread.
Day 8 – Departure. (B)*
Today after breakfast, check out, pack up your memories and you will be transported back to the Vienna airport to travel home or continue your journeys.
*Based on your time of the departure, if you choose, you can play the Country Course or the Diamond course if available.  Private transfer will then be arranged to bring you to the airport.
