A Great Getaway to experience the best of Croatia featuring 11 Days/10 Nights of Gastronomy, History, Culture, Seaports, and Monuments from Zagreb to Dubrovnik including the villages of the Croatian Istria and Montenegro.

Day 1 (D)
Upon arrival at the Zagreb Airport in the afternoon you will be met and taken to your hotel, Hotel Dubrovnik, to check in.
Dinner tonight will be in a great local restaurant and then wine tasting at the famous wine bar Bornstein.
Overnight in the hotel.
Day 2 (BL)
After breakfast at the hotel you will enjoy a half day tour of the monuments and history of both the lower town and the upper town sections of Zagreb. After this tour you will have lunch in a traditional small restaurant and will have the balance of the day to complete your exploration of the city and have dinner on your own.
Day 3 (BL)  
After breakfast and checking out of the hotel you will travel to Opatija, a beautiful small town located on Kvarner Bay of the Adriatic. This town with its almost Italian Mediterranean feel, dates its’ tourist history back to the mid- 19th Century.
Later in the morning you will visit the nearby village - Mošćenice with its narrow streets, alleys and courtyards, and featuring a magnificent view of the sea. During your village tour you will enjoy the beautiful parks, enjoy a tasting of local Schnaps, the old mill, St Andrew church and the Etno museum.
Lunch today will be at the Restaurant Perun featuring fine local wines, superb Kvarner Mediterreanian cuisine and an expansive view of the Adriatic and the Green Islands from the terrace. Upon returning to Opatija, you will check-in to the seaside hotel Milenij and be free to enjoy the hotel and have dinner on your own.
Day 4 (BLD)
Breakfast in the hotel. Today you will enjoy all day in the Croatian Istria. You will start with a tour of Pula and a visit to the famous “Arena”, an old Roman amphitheater (included). Lunch today will be in Žminj at the rustic Agrotourism Ferlin, famous for its tranquil setting, warm hospitality and homemade traditional bread and dishes from the oven.
After lunch, you will visit the hilltop villages of Motovun and one of the smallest anywhere-Hum.
You will then return to your hotel in Opatija and have dinner on your own.
Day 5 (BL)
After breakfast and check out you will depart to Plitvice Lakes National Park, a   UNESCO world heritage site. (Entrance tickets included) for a three hour tour. The park is known for its lakes, forests and spectacular waterfalls. After the tour you will enjoy a late lunch at Restaurant Vila Velebita known both for its food and service. You will then travel back to the coast in check in at your hotel in Zadar Hotel Bastion or similar.
You will be free to roam this wonderful little village and have dinner on your own.
Day 6 (BL)
After breakfast in the hotel, check-out and enjoy a guided tour of Zadar, and a tasting of the maraschino liqueur in Café Lovre. Leaving Zadar, on the way to Split you will stop for lunch in Stankovci at the renowned restaurant Roca.
Upon your arrival in Split a local English speaking guide will take you on a city tour which will include entrance tickets to Diocletian’s Cellars.
Check-in to the Hotel Cornaro, Hotel Mural or similar and then you will be free for dinner on your own.
Day 7 (BL)
Breakfast in the hotel then a short drive to Trogir, a UNESCO protected city. Enjoy a guided tour of the city with a local guide and lunch at The Restaurant Tragos in old town Trogir.
After lunch you will visit “Stella Croatica” in Klis – a manufacturer of homemade sweets, liqueurs, and other local specialties for a tasting of some of their products and a short tour of the estate. Return to Split.
Tonight you will have the evening free to continue to explore Split and have dinner on your own.
Day 8 (BL)
Enjoy breakfast in the hotel and then check-out and start your journey to Dubrovnik. Stop on the way to visit the small town of Ston, famous for its city walls. You will have a short tour of Ston including entrance tickets to the Walls of Ston. You can actually walk the walls and learn the amazing history.
The walls reach all the way to Mali Ston where you will have lunch in a beautiful local restaurant- The Captains House one of the most venerable restaurants in the region famous for, among other specialties, Ston Oysters and Calamari.
Then take a stroll through the extensive and serene Trsteno Arboretum with its old walls, columns, trees and stunning views- the oldest Arboretum on the Mediterranean coast. Arriving in Dubrovnik, check-in to the hotel Valamar Lacroma Dubrovnik, Hotel Zagreb or similar.
You will be free to start your exploration of this magnificent city and discover a quaint restaurant for dinner on your own.
Day 9
After breakfast in the hotel, you will have a guided city tour of Dubrovnik, a UNESCO protected city including entrance tickets to the Franciscan monastery with its old pharmacy. Lunch today will be in the restaurant Poklisar by the seaside just inside the old city gate. You will have the balance of the day to walk the walls, explore the city, enjoy its’ history, and enjoy dinner on your own.
Day 10 (B) Montenegro, so close – but different
Today you will cross the border into Montenegro and admire the beautiful coast, offering a palette of ocean-blue waters on the way to Perast, surrounded by a well preserved medieval wall, with its’ famous islet, called “Gospa od Skrpjela”- Our Lady of Stone.
This drive presents a first-hand emulsion into Montenegro’s three different landscapes - bay, mountain and sea. There are very few places to compare with natural beauty of the Bay of Kotor, which is actually a fiord, often compared to the ones in Norway. You will enjoy a tour of the city and then lunch on your own at one of the many quaint restaurants. Then return to Dubrovnik to enjoy the balance of the day, your last night in Croatia and dinner on your own.
Day 11  
After breakfast in the hotel, pack up your memories, check out, and transfer to the Dubrovnik airport.
