Day One:ARRIVAL AT: NICE AIRPORT Your driver will meet you at the airport and transfer you to our 4* Cavendish hotel in central Cannes within walking distance of shops, restaurants etc. After check in, there will be time to stroll along the Croisette and through the old town area called Le Suquet where the views are stunning over the bay. The owners of this privately owned hotel are delighted to offer during your stay, a 'free' bar each evening, between 6pm & 9pm

mouginsDay Two: After a homemade buffet breakfast, you will be taken to the village of Mougins to visit the priceless private art collection known as MACM. You’ll have time to walk down the cobblestone alleyways and shop in this wonderful village before proceeding onto tour a famous perfume factory in Grasse. After lunch we will visit one of the most picturesque hill top villages in France- St Paul de Vence.

monaco Day Three: Today after buffet breakfast, our first stop will be in Nice where we will take time to stroll along the Promenade des Anglais and then visit Cours Saleya, voted one of the nicest open air markets in France. We will have many options for lunch. Then on to Monaco, including visits to the Monte Carlo Casino, the Royal Palace and Saint Nicholas Cathedral - the final resting place of Princess Grace.

St_tropez2 Day Four: After buffet breakfast and check ou t, we depart for a short drive to St Tropez and time for stroll around the old town and harbour. Thereafter we will visit a vineyard in the Bandol wine region.Then on to the 5* Jules Caesar hotel in central Arles

Day Five:After breakfast, there will be a guided walking tour through Arles, following in the footsteps of Van Gogh. Your afternoon will be free for relaxing, shopping etc. as there is so much to see and do in this wonderful historic town.
france-day6 Day Six: Today we start with a visit to Saintes Maries de la Mer in the Camargue a quaint fishing village built where the Petit Rhone meets the sea. Here we can even walk on a church roof. After lunch we will enjoy a boat cruise around Camargue. Afterwards on to the walled medieval town of Aigues Mortes, departure point for the Crusades to the Holy Land. Here we will also learn about and see the statue of the king who gave his name to our city of St Louis.

les_baux2 Day Seven: Today after breakfast, our adventure continues with a visit to les Baux, a beautiful hilltop village. We will have the option to visit Carrierre des Lumiere , a unique art display set in an old quarry before moving on to St Remy de Provence, birthplace of Nostradamus and also the town where the Monaco royal family have a residence. After lunch we will stop at a small vineyard for a visit and wine tasting.

Avignon Day Eight:Avignon with its medieval stone ramparts, Palais, and Cathedral will be our first stop today. We will have time to sightsee and shop. When the Popes made this their temporary home, they brought cobbles from Rome to pave the streets. After lunch it is on to Chateauneuf du Papes, one of the crown jewels of the Rhone valley wine region, for some wine tasting. On return journey to our lodging we will visit the remarkable Roman town of Nimes, and its’ evening market.

aix_en_provence4 Day Nine: Aix en Provence, the ancient capital of Provence and birthplace of Cezanne and only a short distance away the Chateau...... where Pablo Picasso is buried, will be our first stops today. Then, after lunch, we continue our trip on to the second old city in France, Marseille founded by the Phoenicians in 600BC. Here we will visit its’ heart- the old Vieux port, historical center and boat lined quayside.

Day Ten: After a buffet breakfast and checkout you will be driven to the Marseille airport to return to the USA or to continue your journey to Paris or another destination of your choice. Note: another fun travel arrangement could be to take the high speed train to Paris.
